Miss St Barts ranks 17th at the Miss World pageant



A subscription launched to renovate the Maison des Soeurs in Lorient


The economic council for the parish affairs launch a subscription for 150 000€ to resume the renovation of the Maison des Soeurs (Sisters’ House) of the saint Vincent of Chartres order. As a matter of fact, the original budget of 500 000€ has risen and this is now 662 000€ that are needed to restore both the interior and the exterior of the building.

His achievement will allow him to join the national French team and to take part to the course du Figaro.

Alex Thomson is an English skipper. He is competitive, determined and precocious. Indeed, he was only 25 when he won the Clipper round the world race 1999, making him the youngest skipper ever to win a major race.

Vincent Riou is a talented sailor and responsible sportsman. Indeed during the 2008 round the world single-handed race he didn’t hesitate to go and rescue Jean Le Cam who was having trouble while trying to pass around the Cape Horn.

Originally a veterinarian, Jean-Pierre Dick is also a confirmed regatta runner. He has been taking part boat races since 2002.

In 2004, he achieved his first round-the-world single-handed yacht race, sailed non-stop and without assistance, name d Vendée Globe.

Mike Golding is an audacious sailor and a round the world races specialist.

He is the first person to have sail around the world in both directions.

He is today acknowledged as one best runner in the world.

Louis Burton was born in Paris, where he still runs a PR agency.

Since his childhood he sails with his brother nelson in the gulf of Morbihan.

From his 15 years old he runs many races among the most prestigious.

Recently he finished at the 7th rank the Jacques Vabre Transat after ending 20th the 2010 Route du Rhum.
