The Transat St Barts B to B skippers: Mike Golding


Mike Golding is an audacious sailor and a round the world races specialist.

He is the first person to have sail around the world in both directions.

He is today acknowledged as one best runner in the world.

His recent score speaks for itself. He ranked 9th at the Jacques Vabre Transat in 2011 and 3rd in 2009. He won the Artémis Challence in 2010.

He has awarded Officer of the British Empire in 2007 for his contribution to sailing.

Mike Golding sails on Gamesa. This IMOCA has been heavily renovated last summer and can now optimize his performances.

She now has a new mast and a new rigging. She weights 8 000kg, consequently she is far more lighter than the Louis Burton’s ship which weight 9 300kg
