Alex Thomson is an English skipper. He is competitive, determined and precocious. Indeed, he was only 25 when he won the Clipper round the world race 1999, making him the youngest skipper ever to win a major race.

Even though he had to abandon a few times during major races, Alex Thomson always remains determined which lead him to achieved the 2nd position during the 2011 Jacques Vabre Transat. He now has a dream: to become the first British to win the round the world single-handed yacht race.

Alex Thomson will be sailing on Hugo Boss, an IMOCA designed by Farr Yacht and delivered in July 2007.

This boat was previously used as Veolia Environment, during the 2010 Route du Rhum.
